The Israel United in Christ (IUIC) teaches that family is the foundation of a strong and righteous nation. The Most High God established the family structure from the beginning, with the man as the head (1 Corinthians 11:3) and the woman as his helpmeet (Genesis 2:18). Children are a blessing from the Lord (Psalms 127:3-5), and it is the duty of both parents to raise them in the laws, statutes, and commandments of God (Proverbs 22:6). However, due to the disobedience of our ancestors, the curses of Deuteronomy 28 have devastated the family structure of the so-called Blacks, Hispanics, and Native American Indians, causing division, single-parent households, and generational dysfunction.
One of the most destructive curses placed upon our people is found in Deuteronomy 28:54-56, which describes how the tender and loving men and women of Israel would become cruel toward their own families. Today, this curse is evident in the abandonment of fathers, domestic violence, and the lack of strong male leadership in our households. Many Israelite men have been removed from their families through mass incarceration, gang violence, or simply abandoning their responsibilities, leaving women to raise children alone. Without proper guidance, these children often fall into cycles of poverty, rebellion, and crime, perpetuating the brokenness of our nation.
The curses have also affected Israelite women, many of whom have been forced into single motherhood, struggling to provide for their families without the support of a righteous husband. Deuteronomy 28:56 states that the “tender and delicate woman” would lose her compassion, which is evident in the increase of strained mother-child relationships, abortion rates, and government dependency. The feminist agenda and welfare system have encouraged many of our women to reject the biblical family structure, choosing independence over submission to a righteous man of God. This further weakens the foundation of the household, leading to the destruction of the Israelite family unit.
Children have suffered immensely due to these curses as well. Deuteronomy 28:32 states, “Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long, and there shall be no might in thine hand.” Historically, this was fulfilled during slavery when our children were sold to oppressors, but today, it continues through the foster care system, school-to-prison pipeline, and the miseducation of our youth. Many Israelite children grow up without proper discipline or instruction in God’s commandments, leading them into gangs, drugs, and other destructive lifestyles, which only serve to keep our nation in perpetual suffering.
Despite these hardships, IUIC teaches that there is hope for restoration if we repent and return to the laws, statutes, and commandments of the Most High (Malachi 4:6). By following the biblical family structure, men must reclaim their role as leaders and providers, women must embrace their divine role as nurturers and supporters, and children must be raised with discipline and the fear of the Lord (Ephesians 6:1-4). Only through obedience to God’s commandments can we break the generational curses placed upon us and rebuild our families, communities, and ultimately, the nation of Israel.
