This year’s Taste of Soul on Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles was more than a festival—it was a mission field. While thousands gathered for food, music, and family celebration, the men of Israel United in Christ (IUIC) went to war for the souls of our people. Dressed in the royal garments of purple and gold, we stood shoulder to shoulder as prophets of the Most High, declaring the truth that so-called Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans are the Israelites according to the Bible. With the sound of music in the background and the aroma of food in the air, we lifted our voices like a trumpet, calling our brothers and sisters to repentance and remembrance of their true heritage. The Taste of Soul became our battlefield, and the Word of God was our weapon.
Ezekiel 3:17-19 reminds us that the duty of the watchman is to warn the people. That’s exactly what we did. Many stopped to listen and inquire; some rejoiced at hearing the truth, others were cut to the heart, but all bore witness that the prophets are back in the earth teaching the commandments of God and the faith of Christ. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,” and at the Taste of Soul, those weapons were on full display—spiritual might through the Word of God. This was not entertainment, it was ministry. The world came for food and festivities; we came to feed the spirit of a nation that has forgotten itself. In the end, what the world called a festival, we called a mission: to awaken the 12 Tribes of Israel and remind them that salvation is near.
